I had my shower at 36 weeks and it was so amazing! I still have amazing energy and feelings left over from it. Just stay calm and take it in. My friend’s sister actually had to leave her shower to give birth and told everyone to stay- everyone had a good time and they still got lots of helpful gifts.
My shower will be when I'm 36 weeks too. I understand how you feel! I feel so unprepared right now at 32 weeks because we have no baby stuff. Here's hoping both of our little ones continue baking past our showers!
Just wondering if it’d be a possibility of doing it sooner, even a few weeks. That is definitely cutting it very close and you really never know what could happen. But that way it also gives you a little more time to not stress about getting things you’ll still need after the baby shower especially if you don’t get some of the bigger items needed like baby carrier/stroller or crib etc. I had my shower just 2 weekends ago at 31 almost 32 weeks and literally days after I went to ER for dehydration and doctors telling me I can’t go past 39 weeks or might have to be induced sooner than that.
I wouldn’t worry too much as long as you have the basics (crib, car seat, diapers, etc.) We all ideally want our showers before the baby, but even if it happens after, your baby will still be showered 🥰 I think worrying about it would cause unnecessary stress and might ACTUALLY cause early labor. You’re going to do great Mama! Enjoy these last few weeks 🫶🏼
It’s def normal to feel unprepared as a FTM. I would just say to make sure you have or know you’re gonna have the main things you need either from people going to your shower or have plans in line to get them right after the shower if you don’t get them at the shower. Try not to stress too much about that if you can
