Headaches

Could headaches alone suggest pre eclampsia? I have been getting headaches for the past few days especially at night and sometimes waking up with them in the morning but I don’t have any other signs

Pre eclampsia headaches normally don’t go away and just get persistently worse. There’s no harm in getting checked if you’re worried though, I’m sure your midwife or triage would rather check you out and give you the all clear than leave you worried. Some people don’t get any symptoms with pre eclampsia so it’s hard to say without checking blood pressure/urine for protein x

I’d say definitely get it checked out either way. I had no symptoms of preeclampsia at all, i went to the hospital for reduced movements. Got admitted and now i’m delivering my baby at 31+6 tomorrow. Please get yourself checked out!

@Brigit oh wow I hope you have a safe delivery! X

I had very little symptoms of my pre eclampsia other than a little niggling of rib pain and some headaches with my first and she was delivered at 28 weeks (she’s all fine and healthy! 💗) I’d get checked out just to be on the safe side! x

I would say not but always worth a call to your midwife if you’re worried.
