Move nursery before September?

My little girl will be going to reception in September, but the day nursery shes gone to since she was 1 has changed ownership late last year and they've nearly lost all of their original staff and not been able to keep new ones they hired since. She still comes home having had fun, but it's a red flag and 5 of the other preschoolers from her room have moved to a new nursery nearby. I went to see the new nursery myself today for baby 2 (due next week) and it was nice and actually 4 of the old staff members have moved there as well! But my girl can be pretty rigid with routine and I just don't know if moving her now for 4 months is just too much, what with another change in September AND a new sibling due. Plus I don't think funding will transfer part way through a term so no free hours, or potentially it's at the discretion of the old nursery to allow it?! Help please I'm desperately overthinking it.

i think now there’s only 4 months to go, there’s no point, especially if she’s been there since 1 then i’d assume she’s very settled there. i understand your concerns, staff turnover can show a lot about a place etc but it’s not long now until she starts school and lots of changes at once might make it hard for her to adjust, such as new baby sibling, then a new nursery, then starting school, that’s quite a lot for her so if you can, stick it out xxx

@Sinead yeah I think I'll speak to the original nursery to see what their plan is for key people, and then just as long as she keeps coming home happy and is happy at drop off leave her be

As long as you are happy with the care she is receiving I would keep her at the nursery she knows for the 4 months, by the time she's moved and settled it will be time to move to school
