Looking for a preschool
Hello I’m a mama to a 2 and a half year old. Working full time. My grandma has been watching my son for me but things have taken a turn in my grandpas health and I’m in need of some preschool suggestions or in home child care. I don’t want to just take my son to the first place or the closed to home. We live near jackrabbit trail and camelback. I would like a good fit & well maintained. Looking to enroll sooner than later. Please any suggestions are welcome! Thank you for your time!
Hi I'm in Flagstaff so I can't suggest a place, but I can suggest things to look for. I liked the facilities that have video monitors that you can log into and check on the children throughout the day. They usually cost more. If you're doing a facility you're going to want to check if there's classrooms or one big room. I always preferred one big room because the staff will be more accountable if others are watching. Other things to consider are if meals are included. what are the meals, is your child a picky eater. In home care is a much more affordable choice and the ratios are a lot smaller. Make sure you do a walk through. And also that parents are welcome to come in at pick up/drop off and see the environment each time. In home child care offers a more personalized experience. It's an obvious bad situation if they aren't trying to make you feel comfortable and welcome. FB probably has a local mom group you can ask for preference and others experiences.
