It just describes the different "levels" of healthy living that a mom is into. A scrunchy mom is a blend of crunchy and conventional health while crunchy is not interested at all in the typical healthcare. So for example, a scrunchy mom might make her own laundry detergent but still vaccinate, while a crunchy mom would likely not vaccinate, make food from scratch, have backyard chickens, drink kombucha, etc.
Idk, I think I've heard that scrunchy is a little less crunchy. I have always thought of myself as a crunchy mom, but there's so much that can be put under the crunchy heading nowadays and I only fit about half of it. Some things that can fall under crunchy: Awareness of what you eat, awareness of what chemicals you use(laundry detergent, soaps, cleaning products, etc.), maybe using cloth diapers, eating more organic and/or natural or less processed foods. Some things that tend to go along with these things are strong opinions on whether to vaccinate or not and possibly homeschooling. I'm sure there's many more things I left out too. It's a very broad term.
