Water birth stories please❤️

So my first birth was very medicalised with 2 rounds of induction, Pethadine, epidural, forceps and episiotomy, and now that I’m pregnant with my second I am really manifesting a water birth this time around. I do NOT want a medical or assisted birth this time around that’s for sure I really want to hear about your water births, how or if the water helped you, if you would recommend or do it again etc. 💖 Also, if you had a medicated birth and an unmedicated birth I’d love to know your thoughts of both, as part of me is low key worried about the pain and not having epidural this time 😬

Wow!! Big switch up!! I had all three of my daughters natural and one was a water birth! my son was an epidural baby and my first and I’d never go back! Natural was better

Following! My last 2 babies i had the epidural and I want to try and go natural this time but will probably use nitrous because I'm scared 😂 I've been seeing a ton of women use tens machines and I've been debating on buying one too!

My first birth was terrible I had an episiotomy, third degree tear and forcep delivery. I had an epidural which wore off and a whole cocktail of other drugs. Second birth- amazing I just had gas and air I can’t even tell you how amazing the water is the delivery was quick and the labour was bearable in the water it was honestly amazing my only regret is that I didn’t do it the first time around

I've had 2 water births both being absolutely amazing - I would always recommend them something about the water totally relaxes you 🥰 good luck x

I was medicated with my first. I had pethidine, with monitors on. Second I had a water birth, with gas and air. I loved my water birth. I was so much more in the moment. I appreciated when he was born more. Felt the emotions better. Could speak to my partner. I still felt pain with the pethidine but when my first came I was so spaced out. I remember pushing, I was in pain but I don’t remember if you get me. I’d choose a water birth every time now.
