Did you know you were going to go into labor?

Did you know you were going to go into labor before you did? Did something feel different? I'm almost 35 weeks and have been having on and off braxton hicks since the beginning of my 3rd trimester, so if I feel like if I was in early labor, I wouldn't know it. But I literally feel like my water is going to break today, I don't know how to explain it. It's making me so anxious. I'm so scared to go into labor even though this is my 3rd baby 😅 i previously have go into labor around 10-11 pm, so I guess we'll see tonight if my feeling is right or if it's just baby sitting low. Either way I'm super nervous, especially because I don't want another preemie again 😩

Honestly no and it was my 2nd baby. I was 39 weeks but figured I’d still be a while since my 1st baby was 41w1d. My midwife said to expect lots of cramping, and that’s what I thought it was. I was trying to time them but they fluctuated in length and time apart so honestly didn’t think I was in labor. Called the 24 hour nurse line and they said it could be beginning stages of labor but to try to rest. All this was at 6AM. Decided to go in because I was starting to get worried and I was getting uncomfortable at 8:30, arrived and got checked at the hospital and was already dilated to a 7 at 9:07 so they got me a room. Barely lasted an hour before baby was born. Huge contrast to the 28 hours of labor I had with my first. I really thought it was just cramps though. To make everything more laughable, I was at a family birthday party the day before and everyone was asking me if I felt like I’d have the baby soon, and I said, “No way, I don’t think my body feels ready yet.” 😂

@Lauren that's wild you got to a 7 with minimal contractions! My first was a preemie due to PPROM and I barely remember it all because it was so scary, my water started leaking but I don't remember having any contractions, was in the hospital for 2 days before my water broke on its own but I was so tired at that point I don't remember how I felt. My second I got a membrane sweep and went into labor around 2 days later with contractions starting and my ob breaking my water. 2 very different experiences so I have no idea what to expect this time 😅
