Omg, I almost didn’t finish either but please, keep going. The second book is my favorite
I didn’t get into it until the second half but the second book is when the series really starts in my opinion.
It does get better. I was right there with you. I took MONTHS tryna get through this book. I believe I even stopped and read others. But I swear towards the end of this one it gets good. From then on it’s great for the most part lol I wasn’t much of a fan of the telenovela book but that much latter in the series haha so yes it does get good

honestly i was the same exact way. it too so much effort for me to try and read this book. i ended up DNFing at 100 pages. we barely get time to ourselves now, i am not wasting it on these books ahah
Some people have had better luck with the graphic audio, but I flew through this book

it took me forever to finish this book. all the others were amazing
The first one is hard but the rest are soo good I also just use audible app and I pay for the subscription wich gives you a free book each month and I listened to them all why I did stuff around the house or why I’m driving
I got sucked in the craze but not by the book after the first chapters… I ended up doing the audiobook with the live cast doing the reading. It was definitely an interesting listen especially when the hmm “spicy” scenes were being read out loud, I had to keep making sure the sounds were going through my air pods and not out loud from my phone speakers. Lolol. Anywho, it gets interesting towards the end, and the next couple of books are great, but then it becomes meh and then better again, I guess? Haha. Keep at it. Alsoooo I borrowed through Hoopla for free. It’s connected with your library, so if you have a library card and your library subscribes to it, then you have allll these audiobooks at the tip of your fingers for free :)
Ohhhhh annnndddd I became so intrigued with how the characters would have looked in real life…during my search, I somehow found videos of the chapters on YouTube with AI generated casts, cuz I guess some of them are just tooo unbelievably beautiful it’s unrealistic to cast a real person?? I heard HULU was supposed to make the movie, but scrapped it. Bummer.
Me too, but I’m not a fan of SJM after a few things I’ve read about her that seem problematic, so I never even started it the series but I heard the first book is harder to get through
