It can also effect things like gross motor skills and fine motor skills if ur gonna do weed maybe just quit breastfeeding a fed baby is best and so is a mama who is at ease !!!
I'll either pump and dump or go to formula, breastfeeding and THC can come together and baby can drink it.
WOULD NOT recommend at all. THC stays in your blood longer than alcohol. if you want to keep nursing your baby I would pump enough out then switch to formula. I know you have needs, but sometimes with kids you have to change your lifestyle. You’re not going to be the same person pre baby.
No. Either smoke/use THC and switch to formula or don't. It's fat soluble so it's staying in your breast milk for a week to mo after smoking.
@Kiara I worked at a daycare and one mother said she smoked all her pregnancy and after with her toddler and I swear that toddler was like a goldfish walking around, clearly behind her peers in motor and listening skills
ummm none of this is accurate. No it is not recommended, BUT I know many people who have smoked during pregnancy, one whose child was crawling at 6months and now walking at 10months. Very ahead. She also smoked while breastfeeding. I highly doubt MANY pediatricians (they moved) would constantly say he’s ahead if he wasn’t. No one’s kids are behind who I know has done it.
@Ashley there are countless studies on how THC affects brain chemistry. If it gets you high, what do you think it's doing to their brains? Kids were developing "normal" when people ate of lead plates and used arsenic based make-up. Doesn't mean there aren't lifelong implications. Just don't do drugs while breastfeeding 🤷

In my experience, it has not affected my children. My one child that I didn’t partake in at all is the slowest out of all my kids. Of course to each their own, but y’all shouldn’t be putting down other moms for doing what they do at the end of the day. There are own kids, not yours. Especially commenting in a 420 group come on guys.

I haven’t done my research bc i’d much rather have breast milk with or without thc than ever give him formula.

@Ashley you are aware some people can’t breastfeed yes? I’d of given anything to be able to but unfortunately I have to use the horribly chemical formula 🤷🏼♀️ otherwise my child would starve. The bottom line is OP posted this on anon knowing the answer was no but was looking for other mums to justify her getting high whilst breastfeeding. As you said it’s up to her to make her decision but no one asked for your opinions about formula whilst you try and justify getting high whilst breasting your kids.

@Ashley I don't get where you even get that? I use silicone/glass/ stainless steel to avoid micro plastics? And there's a difference between having no choice in having to use formula and choosing to do drugs while you breastfeed..

@Ashley it's a mind altering drug. You do you, obviously you think THC use is important enough to ignore the risks to the child. And I'm not justifying products that have heavy metals in it. Some women CAN'T breastfeed. But any woman can choose to abstain from street drugs during breastfeeding and pregnancy.

🙄 I'm in a 420 group because I like cannabis. But I don't think you should be getting you fetus/baby high is all. I don't see how consuming it pregnant/BF is any different than blowing smoke in a babies face or giving a toddler an edible. Y'all are just justifying drug use. No it’s not thc will stay in ur milk anywhere from 30-90 days idc what other people might say like oh my baby is fine it’s not true since milk is dat and thc loves fat if u were to breastfeed it would be like giving edible milk.
