baby still on milk mainly

she’ll be 11 months soon and she’s still getting most of her nutrients from milk, (shes breast fed) some days i’ll give her puree and she gets little pieces of what i’m eating every day. main reason she doesn’t get her own portions is because i’m afraid of choking😭 how did yall start feeding your babies meals i know we’re late, first baby things 😂💞

We started BLW almost as soon as we got the green light for solids at 6 months. My baby has eczema so I wanted to check off the allergens list asap. At 10 months my baby is such a good eater and I feel like two things have helped. So we got this silicone teething pacifier from Frida Baby where you can put in solids and your baby can gum and mash them up without risk of choking. It’s so good! You can also put purées in it. At 10 months we’re still using it for teething, we put frozen fruit in there to soothe baby’s gums. I recommend it to every parent. Once you’re ready to move on to the next stage download the Solid Starts app and use their “how to” guides for how to serve food appropriately for each developmental stage. I also read their free infant CPR guide just in case. They have additional paid features and plans but those are the only ones I use.
