I’ve not had one so not much help but keep seeing them discussed is there something that means you get sent for the test?
@Katie oh amazing! I couldn’t remember if they got in touch or not I’ll double check with my midwife tho thankyou 😊
@Andrea your midwife will refer you if you need to be tested. My reason for referral was because my mum is Type 2 diabetic, for example.
@Katie I was told the same, that they only contact you if you have it
@Andrea yeah if your in the category of being most at risk of developing GD then you will be sent for a test. some women may not be referred for a test but could develop gd so always worth keeping an eye out for symptoms just incase 🙂
I had mine on Tuesday, saw midwife today. She said if they haven't got in touch by now then it's likely I passed
I got a call the next day to say I have it so I would imagine your fine if you haven't heard anything they usually call straight away if not they told me
I had mine on Wednesday and happened to see my consultant Thursday who confirmed I don’t have it, but think it was only because I already had an appointment with her and she checked while I was there.
Yep they usually say if you haven’t heard anything within the week then you are fine. I just asked my midwife at my next appointment if everything was fine and she confirmed it was 😌
The nurses told me if it was positive you would hear either that day or the following day. Anything after and it’s negative. My trust uploads all results onto the app once its been signed off and i got the negative result maybe like 5 days later?
Had mine this morning and got my test results via the Badger app about 2 hours ago to say I passed!
I had mine this morning and got the results on patients know best not even 2h after I left with the numbers and the reference values and I passed.
No news should be good news - my midwife said they only get in touch if you have it. Maybe message yours and double check if you want the reassurance though :)
