What age will you be moving away from plastic cups/plates/bowls and cutlery?

I've been reading a little about serving hot food on plastic plates etc in terms of microplastics and chemicals leeching into food and am starting to move away from plastic and my little one already eats off of a adult side plate as her main dinner plate. I also find the plastic plates etc get scratched and grubby and are so much harder to vlean than a standard plate and as she sits at the table to eat her meals there isn't really any risk of it getting smashed etc. Has anyone else had any concerns with this? Her cousins are 11, 9 & 7 and they still use all plastic childrens utensils and whilst it's not hurting anyone I find it weird as by that age they should be perfectly able to use proper plates etc

We already have. He started refusing to use them anymore a few months ago so we use normal side plates , tea spoons , forks and butter knives ! He does still use bamboo cups mostly as he’s only trusted with a glass under HEAVY supervision!

We use regular small plate, or bowl. Also, glass espresso cups from Ikea are great, we use them too for milk or water. He has his own bluey mug, for herbal tea, regular size. And it's been like that few months now. When it comes to cutlery, he has his own. You can get toddler cuttlery almost everywhere, it has plastic handles and stainless steel bottom bit. Also, sometimes he uses regular size forks and spoons. I don't like warm/hot food in plastic plates/bowls for the reasons stated above, so we stopped using them completely as soon as possible. :)

Used silicone for maybe 6 months. Have been on enamel (falcon ware pasta plate) metal or proper plates (same as ours) for 18 months. Metal cutlery a similar amount of time too. Moved from Munchkin ones to the IKEA ones now.

@Cal I used a silicone plate too from 6 months for just her dinners to establish routine but she's outgrown it now and wanted a 'big girl plate' I don't see many normal plates with kids designs that aren't plastic I might have to have a search. She loves using my fork for dinner so for the last week or so she's just used an adult one and struggled through because hers aren't good enough😆

We don’t have kids patterns. Except for the mugs. These are the plates (obviously can’t go in microwave!) https://heima.uk/products/enamel-rice-dishes Mini mugs from Sainsbury’s https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/sainsburys-home-rainbow-mini-mug Or big one from John Lewis (bought in store more because it was super light for the size) https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-colourful-stars-stoneware-mug-380ml-multi/p111759816 At home this cutlery https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/fabler-3-piece-cutlery-set-stainless-steel-60137571/ Out and about I https://www.johnlewis.com/joseph-joseph-on-the-go-compact-portable-stainless-steel-cutlery-set-anthracite/p6293275
