Weaning

My little girl is 8.5 months and has recently decided she doesn’t want to be spoon fed (have been doing a mix of BLW and traditional). This is fine however she then just takes the spoon and flings it around (doesn’t quite get that it needs to go in her mouth). She also just crushes any finger food in her hands before she has chance to eat it. Does anyone have any suggestions of foods that work well for finger food? I’m finding that the traditional steamed veg is just too soft now! It’s at the point where she’s now barely eating anything at all. Thank you :)

Pin wheels. The pastry is firm enough to not just fall apart as its played with and you can put anything on it. Savoury or sweet. Some of our favourites are leftover beef stew (tastes like steak bake), banana and peanut butter, and ' Pizza' made with roast veg sauce that i batch make, grated carrot, courgette and cheese. Veggie tots are pretty good too, they do break apart but I find little one can still pick up most of the pieces and they can easily be squished back together.
