At Peanut, we’re committed to facilitating positive and supportive connections throughout each life stage. Therefore it’s our duty to ensure our platform is safe, inclusive, and anti-racist. This is how we’re taking action against racism.
Since our conception, we’ve had a zero-tolerance policy towards hate speech, racism, bigotry, and abusive behavior of any kind on our app.
This type of behavior goes against our mission and is never welcome.
The user experience on Peanut has been designed by our diverse team of women who have experienced hate first-hand.
This means we‘re passionate about building a platform that is inclusive and free from such behavior.
We created Peanut to give women a voice.
Every day, we see women come together to connect, share stories and grow.
While we support freedom of speech, we don’t support abusing that freedom to harm, bully, or attack people online.
To ensure that everyone on Peanut upholds our values, we ask every user to agree to our Community Guidelines upon registration.
Unfortunately, these rules are broken from time to time but we never hesitate to take action.
Anyone engaging in racist or hateful behavior receives a lifetime ban from Peanut. Period.
In order to keep Peanut safe, we need the support of our community.
If you experience or witness any behavior that is hateful or racist, please use the “report” function so our moderation team can investigate and issue a ban where necessary.
We are grateful to every woman who has adhered to these guidelines and held each other accountable to date.
Together, let’s stand against racism and in support of those fighting for equality and justice every day.
Because this is what Peanut is all about, supporting one another and having each other’s backs.
If you have any feedback on how we can better support women from BIPOC (Black, indigenous, and people of color) communities, please get in touch here.
We’re always looking for new ways we can make Peanut a truly safe space, so we’d love to hear from you.
Together, we can take action against racism.
