Cholestasis

Don’t ignore the itch! This group is for women with ICP/OC/Cholestasis…to not go through it alone and for advice and remedies. Also known as obstetric cholestasis, ICP is a liver disorder that occurs in pregnancy. With ICP, liver function is impaired, causing a digestive fluid called bile to build up in the liver and blood. Elevated bile acids in the blood trigger intense itching in the expectant mother and can cause still birth.

Blood results

Hi, I’ve had blood test results today and levels are 14, so they’re going to repeat the test in a week. My skin is really itchy. Is 14 a definite diagnosis? The nurse on the phone wasn’t very helpful
