Do you still see your PCP

While you’re pregnant, are you still visiting your pcp for any reasons? I was supposed to have a well check up before I got pregnant that I never showed up due to my insurance lapsing but by the time I got my insurance back, I was pregnant. 🤷🏽‍♀️ what’s your experience with this, if any?

wfh job available

There’s a wfh job that will pay you based on your expertise. For example, if you majored in biology then you can get up to 50/hour tasking. The only requirement is a LinkedIn profile and/or 3 years of higher education I believe. Drop your name and email to be referred. :)

Job interview coming up..

When is the right time to disclose that I’m almost 6 months pregnant in a job interview? The interview is actually on 8/5 and I’ll be 23 weeks pregnant. Since my last job fired me because I was pregnant I don’t want the same to happen this time before I even get the job

Does anyone manage to put any money away in savings?

I feel like I’m living pay check to pay check. I would say I have a decent wage, had a significant pay rise but it still doesn’t help. Bills get higher and higher. Hardly any money leftover. Now relying on my credit card. Is this what everyone’s going through?

Job Ideas

I need some ideas for a job I can do after my full time job. I’m about to be a single mom and I’m getting my own house here soon and need more money but I don’t want to work 2 full time jobs. I work 8-5 M-F. I thought about door dash or baby sitting but I’m just not too sure.

Teacher pay rise.

With the announcement of teachers getting a pay rise in autumn 2024, does anyone have an idea of what this will mean for teachers on maternity leave? I opted for equal payments for the 12 months so would this change them?

Maternity pay back to back

So I’m currently on maternity leave which is due to finish on 1st January. Me and my husband are planning on starting trying for baby number 2 - if we get pregnant straight away then I would be going back to work about 3 months pregnant. Would I still be entitled to maternity pay for my next baby? I know you have to...

Universal Credit ?

Very long post coming… I really need some advice on how I can claim some sort of benefit, if I can before baby comes, or any other way to increase my income? I have used the online calculator and it says that I am entitled to nothing (until baby comes). I work part time (average 26.25 hours a week). I’m due to g...

Back to work

I’m scheduled to go back to work next week and let me tell yall how much I’m not ready. Wish I could get paid to stay home a little longer. The longest I’ve been away from baby boy is 6 hours to get my hair done. I’m going to be working 10 hour shifts and my job is an hour away. 😭😭😭

Full time shift work.. Any insights from those doing it?

I'm set to change careers next year; going into a trainee detective programme with the police where the only info I have so far is that it's 40 hours per week on a non set shift pattern of a variation of shifts throughout a 24 hour period. I have fears of how this will affect my LO and am looking into wrap around ty...

Credit cards

Random, nonbaby related post! We really struggled during my maternity leave financially, I was only on statutory mat pay and our mortgage practically doubled. I’ve been putting things on credit cards for baby but I’ve never had so much on my card. It’s making me so anxious that I’ve got so much (£4K) on a credit card…

Jobs after a SAHM stint?

Hi! I have a colorful educational and career background, and decided to stay home with my kids full time in January of this year (my kids are newly 3, 3, and 16 months). The cost of daycare for 3 was nearly my salary, and we were all stretched thin and feeling rushed. When my twins go into elementary school I’m th...

Returning to NHS role after maternity

Hi ladies. I’ve not managed to ask HR about this yet so thought I’d put it out here in case fellow NHS employees know the answer 😀.. I’m due to return from maternity leave to my NHS role (Wales) in early 2025, I’ve taken a year off. I will have a year’s worth of annual leave to take - accrued during maternity…
