Calpol vapour & size of the room + pets

Hey We got the calpol vapour however it says not using in small confined areas and use with adequate ventilation. Our bedroom is not massive and our old doggie sleeps under the bed so I’m assuming the dog needs to be out too as the product ha not been tested on animals safety. What is everyone doing when using the vapour?

I read online that these aren’t safe for dogs so I haven’t bought this as mine sleep in the room too. I would use mine with the dog out and then make sure it had been well ventilated before dog comes back in xx

@Jess did you find something which is safe for dogs? I didn’t know is not safe until I have got it.

My 2 year old had a reaction to this when she was just under 1, her face swelled and she had really puffy eyes so we were unable to use again. We ended up placing bowls of hot water with drops of lavender oil in around her cot after this happened and bathed her before bed after making the shower room extra steamy and humid. Bit of saline spray and suctioning before bed worked a treat too! Hope your little one feels better soon

@Viorela unfortunately not! My little girl is sick at the moment too. I’m using a humidifier at night, snuffle babe, saline drops & calpol. Also sitting or feeding in front of a hot shower which helps clear her nose x
