On the Natera website you can apply for Compassionate Care which asks your income and household info and depending on that the price should be $249 max (or under). I filled it out but I'm waiting to hear back. The doctor already called with my results though and I thought they wouldn't run it until I paid.
Oh my goodness!! My test is Tuesday and now I'm scared
We had no idea how expensive it would be! Ended up being $540 each for genetic testing but without insurance it was over $3k. So 12k seems insanelyyyy high
Yes i got a $10000 bill. Called my OB and told me to ignore it, it should be $99. I called my insurance and and they were oh yeah we don't know anything about it. Called Natera and they were nice and willing to help. If you Google it it seems it happens to most of the people it's ridiculous. I haven't solved it yet but it seems it should be fine and we don't have to pay that, but it's so scary and a waist of time on phone calls and emails .
Jk I looked and our was $6,000 each before insurance helped. Insurance and the OB were not able to make ours less than $540 each
I would recommend trying to call and say you want to be self pay without insurance and see what it would be. In my experience some things are less expensive. Although it may help you get to your out of pocket max faster
This has to be ilegal
Sorry, I meant Natera billing thousands of dollars for a test that’s just a couple hundred just to see how much more they can get from insurance is fucking ilegal. There must be an agency where this can be reported
Yes. I went self pay on those tests and they are only charging me $99 per test. You have to call your local rep for natera. Your OB should be able to get you the number
