For me it’s only when other people are cooking something, idk why but I get super nauseous and gag. I feel so bad so I try not to have any reactions, but it’s hard! For my personal cooking, I can only eat things I am craving. Which SUCKS, because I know I need to eat bananas for potassium and such and if I smell a banana I almost throw up. 😂 I will say, when I do cook things (even things I’m craving) I do get alittle off put by the smell, but it’s not horrible. Realized I have been eating out more as well, and I do not like it. 😅
@Thyani maybe it’s a smell issue for me then 😫 and when I buy it already cooked and ready I didn’t have to smell it being made
@Jamie so interesting I guess it really is more of a smell thing then an actual aversion then
You’re not alone. I got nauseous of the smell when somebody is cooking and didn’t want to eat my own cooking. It’s getting a bit better. But, I still struggle. I don’t like to eat out either.
Same!! I’ve only been able to eat smoothies and maybe some soups… maybe. Everything sounds terrible to me right now
Definitely not alone I’m 8 1/2 weeks as well. And the smell of certain things are just not it.
@Jamie that sucks you can’t eat bananas I eat one at least every other day
@Mari Definitely I think that might be the case now for certain things! :)
Definitely not alone! I’m 10 weeks and I cannot eat what I cook. I usually cook my husband something and then go get fast food for me😂
Same here! I only want to eat food that doesn’t come from my kitchen😭
I’ve had so many different food aversions! I was never a picky eater before and now I have no appetite
I thought I was the only one who felt this way 8 weeks 3 days
I'm at 9w 2 days. I am getting a little more of an appetite. But I still have many food aversions. My nausea has lessened too. It's not gone, but it is getting better. I'm so grateful. Smoothies are my go to breakfast right now. Eggs still don't sound good.
I can’t even enter my kitchen without gagging

This has been happening to me too but only if I cook it. Like looking at raw chicken 🤢🤢 I just can’t. If my hubby is cooking I’ll eat but I definitely prefer to eat out right now 😵💫😵💫
I went thru the EXACT same thing! I still cooked here and there, but I also stocked up on ready made meals and snacks like frozen and soups. Im able to cook and eat at home again after a couple weeks of not at all. Same with nutrition, I didn’t want anything healthy but I can handle it now. Hopefully you’re will to cook/eat at home comes soon!
Same here!
This is so normal. It's sickening lol. But it will get better
@Michelle omg my only real aversion so far has been chicken. Even the THOUGHT of it—cooked or raw 🤢
This has been the same issue for me too. My husband and I have attempted to cook the things I’m craving and I still cannot stand the thought of eating it once it’s in front of me. Then when we order take out of the same thing I devour it. Today was the first day I made a loaded up salad and I wanted to eat it.
You are not alone. The food aversions are terrible. And I’m in the middle of my 10th week. I’ve had this issue for a while now, around week 5 is when it started. I can’t cook at home because nothing sounds good, usually I eat out because I can only stomach certain things.
This isn’t good financial advice, but once I’ve accepted this issue to be real and allowed myself to eat whatever I want from restaurants, I’ve felt 100x better because I’m actually eating a normal amount of calories everyday. Todays the best I felt in weeks. I’d rather spend the money than feel sick from not eating!
I’ve been wondering the same thing because I can’t even stand in the kitchen and cook the smell of hot food while cooking makes me sickkkk
