Names

It's a boy! 💙 We are Italians but we live in Uk and the baby will grow up here so we will probably choose an English name but it needs to be easy enough for our family to be able to pronunce it/write it correctly. Me and my partner currently don't agree on names!! So...vote your favourite or suggest another name.. surname is Aiello (eye-elle-low) Oliver, Riley, Christopher, Nicholas, Logan, Harry, Leonardo, Rayan, Tommaso/Thomas

Ps. The poll option only gave me 3 options, that's why I put it as a post!

go italian!!! leonardo or tommaso x

My guys have italian names. Each that can be shortened to an "english" name. Tommaso can always be Tom if he wanted when he's older. Two of my boys use their full name and on shorter version x

Aiello or Leonardo!

I like Tommaso 🥰

Baby Tom is cute 💕

Leonardo Sebastian/Nicolas Sebastian

Rayan

Leonardo 🩵 Can shorten to Leo - this is one of my fave names x

Nicholas (I'm biased, my son has the same name), Leonardo ou Tommaso. I'm a foreigner in the UK too and going through the same of picking names that sound good in Portuguese and English 🤣

Go italian! So many little ones here have italian names and english surnames, they are becoming more and more popular. I love tommaso!

I liked Elio when I was was pregnant with my son but we decided on Luca Francesco is cute and could be shortened to frank xx

@Korissa Aiello is the surname! 🤣

@Giuliana my partner is Italian so the surname is Italian. If you are Italian can I add you to an Italian group I have created here on Peanut?

Nicholas or Leonardo (Leo)

Love Lorenzo (Enzo) Luca Max Noah Aldo Jacob Dario Rafael

I know someone who is 1/2 Italian and 1/2 English and they are called Luc pronounced the same as Luke!

I would go Italian too! I’m Italian and my partner is English. We are going for an Italian name 🩷

Tommaso is great! I wouldn’t worry about not having a typical English name. Who has these days anyways? Some that you listed I think are more American than English. I also like Nicholas with your surname.

Antonio

Husband and I are Italian and living in USA. Since our kids family name is Italian, we choose English names easy to pronounce in Italian (Italian name + Italian surname will make them forever feel or be taken for a first generation immigrants, which they are not). For a boy, we thought Liam. Of your options, I like Oliver and Logan (very easy to pronounce for the Italian relatives)

@Simona oops 🤣 it was 2am for me 😭😭

I’d go Italian 😊 lots of Italian names coming over. Enzo and Rocco are especially popular.

@Lau I have an Elio, Lucio, Alessio, Milena and Emiliana

@Simona you’ll have to let us know what you go with xx

I think Leo or Tommaso. I also like Marco which is Italian. I think you should def go with an Italian name.. they are all so nice x

We just named our baby Luca x

I love Enzo

I like Logan Oliver Rayan and Leonardo

Matteo Lorenzo Charile Giovanni Marco

Leonardo

We have a Luca 🥰 x

My husband grew up in Italy and we wanted Italian names that worked in America. We ended up with Luca and Nicolò (Nico). I also like Lorenzo, Tommaso, Matteo, and my husband's favorite was Alessio. Side note: speak Italian to your kids at home. They will learn English at daycare or school. My husband speaks only Italian to our boys (17 months and 1 month), his parents speak Spanish to them and I'm the dumb American who only knows English, but I'm working on my baby Italian!

I'm biased. I vote Riley 😆

We are Algerian ( living here for the past 15 years ) and doing the opposite choosing an Algerian name easy for English people to say 😄

Leonardo, Lorenzo, Pietro and Marco are very easy for English people to pronounce! I work with a ton of Italian's they have named their sons Sergio and Marco. Marco does seem very very common though. I have to cringe for my colleague Giovanni that even his wife's English family cannot pronounce his name though. I don't know why but English people can't seem to get the Gio or Giu sounds

@Sophie my baby boys name that Will be born in a couple weeks leo for short

@Chiara which name? Also, can I add you to the group I created for Italian's mums in Uk?

Tommas is cute!! (Pronounced toe-mas) has a ring to it and fits with your surname 😊

Christopher or Michael, very classic, well-known names

@Anna Michael is my partner's name 👍🏼

@Jo I really like Leonardo but doesn't sounds amazing with the surname...?!?

Tommaso is so cute.

giovanni, sebastian & matteo 😩❤️❤️
