Both .. I swore the same thing and my baby's a runner I don't have time to be losing her anywhere and I don't care how people feel or what people would think i'd rather keep her safe
@Brittany ooo I didn’t think about that!! That’s a great idea
I love his and so does he
Hey Mama! First off - there is no shame in using a leash. They are a lifesaver, and the stigma around them really needs to go away. As for our family, we use the backpack leash. We love it, and our LO enjoys wearing his backpack. We opted for this one because we were worried the wrist one might be easy to take off or bother him more by impeding his movement. The backpack keeps the leash behind him, which I think helps with mobility and not worrying about it coming off. Plus, yes, space for snacks and little toys! I hope this helps, and have a fun Disney vacation!
We have harness/vests with leash. We've been using them since crawling. Our son knows we're going out or somewhere new when we get it out. He loves it because it's a symbol of adventure. We go on walks together, and he can pick up any pinecone or rock he wants.
I have the backpack leash from target for my son. I honestly never realized there was such a stigma to it until recently. My son does not like to hold my hand now and he takes off running. Better to have him on a leash than have him run into traffic when he’s not listening to me. 🤷‍♀️ The only complaint I have about the backpack leash is the one that I got from target has the connector down at the bottom of the backpack. So, if, for whatever reason the leash gets tugged or pulled, it sometimes causes my son to topple forward and fall. I think, probably a harness or something that connects more in between the shoulder blades would be safer and more stable.
I do the wrist. The backpack & harness ones remind me too much of a dog lol
My mom would use a wrist leash on me and i would take it off. I’ve just started using a backpack leash for my girl cus she started running off
Hi my son loves his backpack leash. I've used his for our big event in town during the summer. My mom will use it with him when she watching him or they go for a walk. Sometimes he will grab it to put it on
We just got back from Disney with my 21m old daughter. I’ve never looked into a leash. I see the benefit. I LOVE my Tushbaby though. Not the same thing, but just wanted to throw it out there for when you do hold your toddler for long periods of time. It’s the best!
Backpack leash. My parents used a wrist leash on me when I was a toddler and I still resent that thing.
I have a backpack leash. It works amazing plus he can still reach around and touch things if he wants. Plus you can store toys and snacks in it.
