@Madeliene I have to schedule an appointment on Monday to talk about it more extensively, they're closed on weekends, but all the nurses and doctors at the ER made it seem like a natural birth was going to be in the works. I'm pretty nervous either way-but I was thinking only 2-3 weeks of healing and then pushing a human out?? I just don't know aha
@Naomi Okay, that was comforting information lol. Thank you!
Following cause I have a dislocated rib and I’m 34 weeks now. It keeps popping back out when I get it back in. So we’ll see how it goes 😩 I feel your pain girl, maybe not as bad but similar!
Omg I broke my clavicle 2 weeks ago! Glad I'm not alone. For me my doctor wants to postpone any surgery until after I give birth. Until then it will heal kind of funny. My OBGYN said with the epidural I should be fine though I was planning on having a natural birth. The good thing with bones is every week you'll start to feel better. The body does heal itself. 2 weeks in and I can do a lot more. I won't be able to carry my daughter for a while but my husband is here to help. I havent taken any pain medicine but each week there is a noticeable difference. Just be cautious with all the X-rays.
I broke my foot trying to get to my toddler the other day and thought that was bad enough. I’m sorry momma! I hope it heals well for you. It also doesn’t help that the current treatment for broken ribs is time. They don’t do binding and only fix them if it’s really severe 😕
How did it go?
@April Hi lol I just saw this💀 It actually went decently! The labor/birth pain overshadowed the rib pain, and I totally forgot about it until after delivery and it was time to do things and carry things+baby again
Well I don’t know about birthing with broken ribs but typically ribs calcify in 1-2 weeks and become significantly less painful. So if your 37 weeks there’s a good chance they won’t bother you much or be near healed by the time you give birth.
