I’m not a fan of Theodore I don’t mind Theo but you can’t really shorten Theo to Teddy I suppose 🤣
Theodore Edward
Yeah I’m not a fan of those names but really want the shortened name to be Teddy just looking for any other name suggestions
Edgar, Ted, or maybe have a first name as something you want and middle name something short for Teddy 🧸 then when they're older they can go by there first name or Teddy. Luca Theodore James Edison :)
Edward
Edwin Edmund Theodorus Edgar Frederick Edison Tudor It’s quite hard as Teddy is usually Edward or Theodore! You could always just pick any name and give him the nickname Teddy as he’s your little teddy bear 🧸
What about a name that means bear and you can use Teddy
Or just Ted!
@Helen OOOOH I wanted to use the name Arthur for a boy - Arthur literally means ‘strong as a bear’ in Celtic so could that work for you?
@Alex thanks for all the suggestions I like Fredrick and nickname Teddy 🥰
My 5 year old is called Theodore but he will tell you his name is Theo and I call him Teddy/Ted. He's very rarely called Theodore unless he's being naughty x
Tedmond Theobald Thaddeus Edwin Edgar Teddy also works as a nickname for names which mean "bear" - Orson Arthur/Art Barrett Oberon Kodiak/Koda Auberon Torben Espen 💙
Everyone has completely changed my mind on Theodore, that’s it guys he’s offically going to be Theodore - Teddy for when he’s little, thanks so much ❤️🥰

that could just be a cute little nickname for him as a baby. hes your teddy bear 🧸
Theodore
Why does it have to be short for anything? If you both like Teddy, call him Teddy xx
@Ani thank you!! My hubby doesn’t want it as his first name (I of course do! But the compromise is a full name with this as a nickname) xx
@Ani I agree with this too. I knew a girl named Teddy. I imagine that a boy can have that as their full name too.
@Marie totally agree just have to respect hubby isn’t on board as a first name but happy for the nickname as a child x
Ohh it’s tricky, I have a Penny because I would never call her the full name so we didn’t use it. What is your husband suggesting? Can you make something up between what you both like? Something like Edmund may work
Edmund Edison Thaddeus Tennyson
