How long after bloody show , did you start active labour

18 years ago (my 1st born) was about a day (24hours) before active Labour. 3.5 years ago (my 2nd born) was about 6 hours before active labour. Naively,18 years ago (had little to no information back then) I thought it was braxton hicks as I was constantly told I'd definitely have it. Was told this again 3.5 years ago. Didn't realise I was in active labour and again thought it was braxton hicks as I was told it'll be similar to labour pains. Got to the hospital to find out I was already 7cm dilated! I am genuinely still surprised at that as it turns out my pains weren't braxton hicks as they weren't too painful until I hit 9cm. Never thought to ask why the pains weren't that bad until about 9cm dilation. My waters didn't break until I got to hospital. Could've been why I thought it wasn't active labour??

I had mine a week before active labour, but I was contracting for a week before labour too x

Later the same day! Lost a bit in the morning at 10am, then lost some more around 8pm and my contractions began at midnight, she was born at 11am the next day x

So I got up at 7am to pee wiped had my bloody show there soon as I stood up my waters broke like in the movies (they tell you it's never that way for me it was and very dramatic!) And I was in active labour immediately I was contracting 3 in 10 so got to the hospital within 45 mins of this happening and they checked I was 2cm they checked literally 10 mins later I was at 4cm so it was go time I then had 16 hours of labour and ultimately needed an emergency c section due to my cervix closing once it got to 8cm back down to 4cm my son getting stuck and his heart rate dropping and not recovering 20 mins after they first said c section he was born so it was all really fast for us the 16 hours flew by so the way it feels was my waters broke and an hour later he was out as the day was such a blur even though I was contracting for 16 hours x

I had my show a week before I went into labour with all 3 of mine, I’m expecting the same thing with this one too 😊 xx
