It seems like a heavy name for someone to carry What about Lucien or Lucius?
I think it would be a hard name to grow up with. I’ve googled it and it seems to be legal in the UK but I agree with MJ that Lucien or Lucius may be a better fit for a child
Lucius I think is a good alternative but I think it’s about time people used Lucifer. People use Jesus so I don’t see why not. The man was probably not even real anyways and if he was he was an angel first before god banished him so POWER TO YOU. But it will be “allowed” it’s not one of the “banished names” Lucifer means “light bearer” bc he was an arch angel. Some people (like me) debate wether he and Satan are even separate beings. The church has a had a hold on most things for way too long. 6 boys had it between the past five years.
Please consider alternatives and try to imagine how much they will be bullied at school/work for this in the future. Kids can be mean and adults can be judgemental.
I am sure it is legal. It means Light bringer and is the latin word for the planet Venus too. It’s not necessarily just a fallen Angel but maybe is in a way why living on Venus would be like living in hell if anyone could live on Venus lol. It is latin for Day star or morning star. I still wouldn’t name my child this, maybe a pet not my child. Maybe… Lucius Lucien Lucario Luca Lucan Lucas Lucif Luce
If you love it perhaps legally register your baby with that name but have them known as a shortened version like Luca or Louis. Or even have them known as their middle name.
I taught a student called Lucifer, so it is legal, but I echo some of the thoughts above
I personally wouldn't, what about Lucien, thats still similar..
I like Lucien …. Lucifer is too much.
Do you think your baby will grow to love it or you both love it for the baby?
