Hello this is my son Leo, he was born on November 10th 2023. He was born an extra digit on each hand. I feel like I have no idea about it or how it will be treated. So I’m very happy to have found this group. I feel like we’ve had no communication to what is going on with it or any information.
I’d just love to hear other peoples experiences.

Hello! We have a Leo too, born Oct 2023, he has an extra thumb on one hand. Have had an appt with plastic surgery team and is booked for an xray when he turns 1 and surgery at 18 months. Not sure if thay helps at all xx

Evening Welcome to the world Leo. I have a 12 yr old, Stan with differences on both his hands. He is amazing 🤩 I remember the early days with Stan, feeling so alone, I felt like everyone was looking at his hands, I blamed myself. it was such a relief when I found a charity online and called them. This charity is called Reach - for children with upper limb differences, they are amazing and will put u in contact with some local families, or families who have experienced something similar. if you want this support. We were under the local Plastic surgery team for Stan in the early days…I imagine this is the sort of team you might need to see, Gp can refer over. Happy to PM if you ever need a friendly ear.x
