Extreme thirst but not diabetes?

Hi all! Hoping someone may be able to help! Since a week and half ago I’ve been experiencing symptoms of gestational diabetes (extreme thirst drinking 4.5 litres of water a day and still being thirsty, peeing way more frequently, dizziness, tiredness etc). Im 16 weeks and had a diabetes test (glucose tolerance test at hospital) after telling midwife my symptoms but it’s come back as “normal” today. I’m not sure what to think now as I don’t know what else could be causing these extreme symptoms? I definitely don’t feel right :(

Did they check you for a UTI? Xx

No I don’t believe they have. Usually when I get a UTI I get pain when I pee but there’s no pain? Could that still be a UTI? I will see if I can get them to test for it, thank you

I’m 27 weeks and I feel exactly the same, I’m so thirsty constantly no matter how much I drink I’m still thirsty and iv been exhausted but haven’t been offered a test yet xx

You won't always get pain with a UTI so definitely worth getting checked

You can have a UTI without getting symptoms. I've had 3 without many symptoms x

Thank you guys! I will email them tomorrow and see if I can get a test :) xx

Same here!!! Had to try and limit myself to smaller sips to stop myself feeling sick! Also used my partners finger pricker as he’s diabetic and it came back normal so I’m just blaming the baby now 😂 xx
