I had my nails done in the morning of the day i went in to be induced!
I was told no nail polish at all first time and have been again this time
Depends on your hospital. Some specifically ask for nails to be removed. Others aren’t as fussed. And yes they’re not gonna not save your life cos you have pretty nails 😂
I’ve literally just had mine redone and had them all through my pregnancy , something to make me feel better about myself. I’ve never been told I can’t have them x
Enjoy your pamper and tell her to keep her thoughts to herself, nail polish won't impact at all. One of the midwives commented on my fingers and toes being different shades of pink :) good luck! X
I had builder gel on mine. Ended up with an emergency c-section and it didn't cause any issues. It wasn't even mentioned!
Mine told me to have naked nails but that was planned c section
Yeah, you are not allowed to have nail varnish on in case you end up needing a c-section for whatever reason x
If you for whatever reason end up having a c-sec then the oxygen saturation probe can still read on your finger with polish on. They can also use ear lobes if needed, it is not banned. Enjoy having pretty nails when your babe arrives x
As said above just leave toes unpainted x
Sometimes they might need to remove it to check oxygen if you've got breathing issues, mine had to do it but other than that (if I didn't have breathing issues) I don't think they would mind. Ask your midwife just in casw
I didn’t give birth in a hospital but I got my nails done all throughout pregnancy and got my refills done on my due date.
So many people do their nails before labor!! You’re perfectly fine 💅🏻
my hospital don’t mind builder gel or nail polish, but they don’t like acrylics as it’s hard to read your pulse if they need to monitor your vitals ☺️

I had my eyebrows lashes nails and a fake tan before I went into labour 😂😂 I new I wouldn’t get much time to after baby was born 😂😂

i had my nails done.. planned c section. just leave your toes unpainted, it’s just for a heart rate monitor if needed. i was told nails are fine as long as toes are unpainted xx
