The nets don't work, they just climb in anyway. But filling it with stuff might.
We pre washed everything and once it kame out the wash we put a bed sheet over the top to keep cat hair out if the cat was to jump in the bouncer we just put upside-down over night so the cat can't get in it lol but my suggestion would be to put bed covers or sheets of some kind over the top of the baby stuff that way if they do try to get in there they are only getting hair on the sheet nit the actual baby stuff x
I used to put a blanket over ours, the cats would still sometimes go in (not as often), but it meant it wasn't getting covered in all the fur x
i covered mine in recycling bags like bin liners
I keep adding a blanket over the top of the mattress until baby comes and will carry on doing it when it’s not in use x
As someone who had 5 cats there is no real way of getting rid of the cat hair on any of your babies stuff. I have tried everything in the books and yet cat hair is still everywhere. The net didn’t work for me the cats pulled it off and got in anyway as they are cheeky. I just didn’t let my cats in the bedroom since and there is still cat hair in his cot x
The cat shouldn’t go in when baby’s in it so till then I would just wash it before she comes and leave the cat to it as long as you or baby don’t have any allergies to cats then I think your be good
Sticky rollers are a lifesaver
Tin foil!! Fill the cot with it Try it and let us know how you get on! I am currently testing it with my kitchen worktops. And it’s fair to say we’re on day 3 and the cats have not climbed once 🤣apparently they don’t like tin foil x
We used sellotape and pressed it over the hair hard in stroking motions, it didn’t take long for my cats to learn they weren’t allowed in xx
Could a lint roller pick all the hair up? Then a good hoover after 🤭 also is it worth maybe filling the Moses basket with something to stop them going in? Packs of nappies or baby’s changing bag or if you have like a caddy filled with nappies, just something that would be uncomfortable. Then again my dog gets comfy on anything 🙈🤣 it also may be worth trying to get them used to not being in there incase they try and jump in when baby is in, of course I know you’ll be around but just incase as my dog kept jumping in baby’s bouncer 🤭 x
