Moses basket or baby bed/nest?

I’m torn whether to buy a moses basket for our living room or a baby nest instead? I know Dockatot isn’t really recommended for safety reasons but Purflo seems to meet the standards. For anyone who has already had a baby - did you find it easier using a baby bed/nest on your sofa instead of a moses basket? Would rather not buy both!

I had a Moses basket for my first and didn’t get much use because they outgrow it so fast so for my second I used a nest and found it a better investment as I also used it in his travel cot for a while

With my first we just used the carrycot on the pram for the living room but we ended up then buying a nest and this was one of the only ways I could get my baby to nap during the day without being on me/out for a walk so was a life saver for us.

I found the nest lasted longer / she took longer to grow out of it than the Moses basket. But we did use our Moses basket as we’ve got a dog and I worried about her jumping onto the sofa if our baby was in her nest 🙈

Purflo just use clever marketing to say they're safe for sleep, they still don't meet the lullaby trust guidelines for safe sleep and SIDS risk reduction.

I got a Moses basket free off Facebook (replaced the mattress for a brand new only £20) and then also bought a nest, so we have both options but didn’t splash out incase we don’t get much use xx

I didn't use a moses basket just a Purflo, but I stayed in the room while she napped in there.

I don’t find Moses baskets to be very comfortable for baby, neither of mine liked it, but loved the sleepyhead (supervised of course). We have snuz pod 4 for the bedroom but I’m thinking about getting something similar for downstairs but more portable to take to my parents and for downstairs naps - so hard though as they’re not in them for long!
