Bush or no bush?

Are y’all getting waxed? I have no idea what’s going on down there and quite frankly don’t really care what it looks like but I just don’t know when I’ll be able to trim it up post baby. What are you all doing down there at this stage? Haha

I’m keeping it shaved. Have to take a mirror to do it but it’s getting done

Everything is so sensitive down there, I can’t imagine getting waxed 😣 I’m in my 3rd trimester with twins, so I’m not able to do much besides a quick clean up.

I don't suggest waxing, the pain and potential introduction of germs/infection is not a risk I'm willing to take at this point. But I do suggest keeping it trimmed short if you're able. I know with my last labor, they commented that having things short definitely helped them when dealing with checks and stuff like the Foley (had an induction)

I was told not to shave or wax after 36 weeks by my obgyn for how sensitive it can be down there.

I get waxed from the point that I can't see it anymore on. I find keeping my stitches clean is easier when there's no hair down there, and struggle to keep it trimmed short when I can't see it. Both pregnancies (1&2) I've gone about a week before labour, I wouldn't suggest going too close to due date/induction date because it is sensitive for a dayish afterwards. I had waxes previously not pregnant and didn't notice much of a difference pain/sensitivity wise

After 36 weeks don't shave just in case you have a c section it could introduce germs etc. My scar is perfectly on my bikini line but the hair still tries to grow through the scar. You don't want a razor bump there

I shaved probably about 2 weeks ago and will probably just leave it at that. I’m getting too uncomfortable to really be able to do it again. 37+3:)

With my first I got waxed at 37 weeks but I also wax regularly so it wasn’t as painful.. but I wouldn’t suggest getting waxed if you don’t regularly wax

I am 38 weeks and just got my last wax. Yes, it was a bit more sensitive than usual. I don’t want to have to deal with hair down there after a C section. The hair honestly hurts me when it gets too long ( pulling on underwear and what not) I was told they will shave where they are doing the surgery anyway and I am going in for a scheduled C section so just getting ahead. It really depends on your preference and tolerance.
