Weekend plans

Routines

Y’all, what are your daily schedules/routines like? I’m a pathological over-thinker and can’t find the right groove for us. 😅 When are your kids waking up, napping, and going to bed? When do you have breakfast and dinner? What is your night time/pre-bed routine like? I’m struggling and need some inspo. 😂

Common illness

RANT

My little family is going through it rn, my toddler has RSV and she’s also teething so she definitely isn’t a happy camper rn… and I’m trying to care for her and my 7 week old without getting him sick , it’s so hard! She just wants cuddles and I can’t even do that cause I don’t wanna get my little baby sick cause RSV can be more serious for him😩and now my throat is starting to hurt so I’m afraid I’m getting sick now .. and I got the IUD last Thursday and the last couple days my bleeding has been so heavy and I have cramps that hurt so bad, feels like I’m on my period but 10x worse… the stuff I go through to avoid getting pregnant again😑 we have been giving my toddler Pedialyte, an alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen. Is there anything else that we can give her to help her? Cause she doesn’t just have one tooth coming in she has two. i’m just praying that my seven week old does not catch what my daughter has, he’s breast-fed so if I get sick that’s gonna be really bad… I do have milk frozen in the freezer but my fiancé works so I’ll still have to feed him I can’t just have my fiancé care for him. And to add to all this craziness, I was supposed to start work back up this week but obviously couldn’t cause my toddler caught RSV , I feel like God is just trying to tell me that it’s not my time yet and I need to spend more time with my kids and enjoy this break since I worked through both my pregnancies up to the day I gave birth to both my babies and the sh$t I’ve been through just within the last 18 months. I just wish the circumstances were different, if it was just a cold she had it would be different but the fact that it’s RSV scares me cause that could really affect my newborn😵‍💫

Baby sleep

Sleeping, bottles, milk — I give up!

My son is now 18 months old. He has only slept through the night once. ONCE! He’s always been a light drinker when it comes to milk. According to my research, he’s supposed to be around 16-20 ounces/day at this age. We’re lucky if he takes 10. He eats solids fine, but can be totally disinterested at times. He’s just so distracted and needs to be constantly moving.

But then at night, he wakes 2/3 times insisting on milk. Nothing else will cut it and if we try anything else, he just screams louder, pushes harder, and wakes up more.

And he always tries to get nursed before bed. I only allow that when he’s sick but in those cases he sleeps much better. He’ll only wake up once for milk if I nurse him. But sleep consultants have told me that if I breastfed him to go to sleep then he won’t be able to get back to sleep on his own. But he can’t seem to get back to sleep on his own when I don’t nurse him, so what does it matter?

I dunno. I’m just so over it. I’m exhausted. And I feel like there’s so much I’m doing wrong. I can’t get him to sleep, take in enough milk, or kick milk at night.

Please send me your secrets to sleeping.
