Shein Maternity Clothes

Has anyone worn maternity clothes from shein and delivered a healthy baby? I read that toxic BPA is in clothing that are polyester elastic and even looking on Amazon or even more expensive sites, the clothes are still made out of the same fabric as shein maternity clothes. I guess because they need to be stretchy? So I ended up ordering from shein since their the cutest affordable option but still feeling nervous:/

99.9% of my maternity wardrobe was SHEIN….currently in one of the shirts right now actually. Our 8 month old is perfectly healthy. I just washed everything when I got it.

Yup, that’s all I wore and he was perfectly healthy and full term 💙

So with Maternity clothing, you truly don’t need much. A stretch dress will do most of the time or oversized cotton tshirts etc. Shein/Temu are highly toxic factories with hundred of chemicals. While I understand it’s cheap and cute, it’s also important to take care of your skin being it’s the biggest organ . Quality vs quantity is what I go for. Pieces you can comfortably wear. True, a lot of Amazon things are actually fast fashion/resold and rebranded. What you’ll want to look for is things like linen, silk , hemp, cotton or at the least cotton blends. Full blown poly is extremely unbreathable and bad. It reeks of chemicals as you’ll find out! I wouldn’t stress about your baby too much as it’s mot directly exposing them and 99% of people do wear a lot of poly/rayon blends HOWEVER, do not put your baby in anything BUT cotton and even better organic cotton/linen when born. It is crucial to keep them from exposed chemicals & breathable materials. Hope this helps! 🩷

🙋🏼‍♀️ healthy baby boy. Just washed the clothes as soon as I got them.

Personally I along with other people I know had eczema flares during pregnancy due to hormone change on top of clothing choices. Once we stopped wearing so much poly/nylons etc, skin got better and rashes didn’t come as often. It’s hard to rid of 100% but try to get some nicer pieces even if secondhand from Mercari/poshmark.

I love shein maternity clothes. Wear them to bed as jammies and lounge wear inside the house.

No SHEIN/ Temu for me. Not taking any chances. Sometimes it takes awhile for toxins to do harm so I’d say if you’re worried like I am, better safe than sorry.

Completely healthy pregnancy and baby and wore lots of SHEIN mat clothes. I def try not to buy from them if I can cause it’s one of the worst fast fashion mass producers but I couldn’t justify spending a lot on mat clothes that id only wear for a small snippet of time. In hindsight I def could’ve had more variety of mat clothes cause at one point I had to rotate the same clothes cause I refused to buy more 😅

No SHEIN clothes for me as well. I’m buying my clothes from PinkBlush Maternity.👍

I found a lot on Facebook but nothing groups and thrift stores. But mostly opted to wear my regular clothes, I loved showing off my belly

SHEIN has (at best) unclear supply chains but seems likely to involve some degree of forced labor. Temu is known to utilize forced labor and some countries don’t even allow their site to be accessed. I’ve seen too many accounts from people saying that had extreme physical reactions to items purchased on SHEIN including jewelry, nail products, clothing, shoes, accessories to ever feel safe purchasing anything from them. I purchased in the past before I knew of their supply chain issues and everything was really poor quality, even their higher cost items. For me, it just wasn’t worth the risk. I used Target, pinkblush, motherhood maternity, and a few others here and there. Don’t buy too much because it only fits for a short period of time.

That’s all I wear honestly nd with my 2 last pregnancy all was fine

Honestly I wore alot of Shein during my pregnancy and my daughter is fine.
