Self-heal plant - when to harvest it

Hi ladies 👋🏻 Looking forward to learning and sharing tips on natural remedies here. I wondered has anyone had firsthand experience with Self-heal? I had loads growing in the garden this year. The flowers have finished though I wondered if it’s a plant worth harvesting for use at a later date?

Following because I’d like to know!

Selfheal is often harvested in June before the plant flowers. They can be eaten raw in salads, added to soups and stews, or used as a potherb. You can use the flowers usually cut during summer flowering for use in herbal tinctures, infusions, and ointments. We have it growing in our yard like dandelion or plantain.

I would love to see a photo 🤩
