@Caroline I don't know how I'm meant to feel. As I'm not excited for it all. I just see it as a deadline of oh shit the countdown is on and this is really happening. I have more of a dread feel than I can't wait to meet her feel and I feel awful for feeling this way 😕
@Emily is it a nervous feeling? Are you worried? First baby? I’m still desperately waiting on my c section date which will be last week of October.
@Claire I guess more anxious as it is my first baby and first c section. I've had many surgeries in the last few years and I hated the recovery of them all. O/H has 3 weeks off from the birth but I'm just dreading the care for myself and also the little one on my own. I only got my date cause I kept asking so I could try and sort out work
@Emily Aww I hear you. It is such a change and a big surgery. I had an emergency c section with my first and recovery was hard in the first few days. My OH was off for 2 weeks. Same again this time. I think the hardest thing was lifting myself in and out of bed. Propping myself up with pillows helped. 3 weeks will be good with your OH and try to move around the house if you can. I stayed in the bedroom probably for a little too long but I heard moving around helps with recovery more so I’m going to try that this time round.
What was your due date vs section date? Thankyou xxxx
@EJ my due date was 24th but they don't want me to need an emergency c section as my case is complex. So doing it a bit earlier
@Emily oh I see !!! I would say you don’t have to feel a special way, take that pressure off your shoulders !!! You are growing a little human it’s amazing as it is and no expectations on what you should feel! I am shit scared too. Take your mind of, think about yourself, what do you want to do before she gets here? Write down goals for yourself & take the pressure off xxx
Why do you feel lost? I have a date of 4th Nov and now I made a list of all the things I want to do for me and my partner like movie date, girls date, gentle hike, read 3 books, take long baths etc
