Help!

Please don't judge me for this! I have a 19 month old lg and an 11 yr old my 11 yr old stays with my parents during the week and at mine on the weekend! This is due to my past and mental health professionals letting me down and they have even told me this themselves! Circumstances have changed since and I have full custody of my 18 month old! I've recently had surgery on my hand due to suffering from carpal tunnel's syndrome! The first night I had 2 hrs sleep so I was exhausted I contacted my gp who gave me a script for 3 days of tramadol! I know it has been easing the pain but even with the tramadol I'm having a few hours sleep and waking up and struggling to get back to sleep! Has anyone ever had the same done and any advice because I'm by myself and trying to do even the most basic things is horrendous! I was told it takes 8-10 days but being how bad mine was I have to wait 14 days which might not seem a lot to some but when you can't do your own hair or you struggle to look after little one. I'm sorry for ranting on I just can't seem to win x

I have a similar surgery scheduled for 2 months from now and I’m so anxious because of all of the things I might not be able to do

Could your parents help temporarily? A friend? In-Laws?

My dad had both his hands done at separate times and i remember he couldn’t even make a sandwich! So really don’t put pressure on yourself you need to rest otherwise the healing will be longer, you need to get as much support as possible, can your parents help out or anyone?

I had one had released. Got to be very gentle with it at first and try to use the other hand. Ice it and baby it, take an NSaid. Try to elevate it above your heart to reduce the swelling and help with pain while sleeping. Maybe have a sleepover with family to get some help or rest at night? Or see if someone will do an overnight with your kid so you could try and get a night of rest too

Parents both work full time I don't have a partner and all my friends live away x

@Kristyna unfortunately I'm allergic to NSAIDs x
