Same! Commenting to follow along as well...
I played around a bit more and it turns out you have to submit a claim on their behalf too (ie apply for PPL), then you need to enter the approval ID which is on the confirmation letter from Centrelink that your PPL has been approved.
@Julia do they have to answer all the same questions ? or is there an option to just put the approval ID in ?
Once you submit your claim, get your partner to submit their claim. Both claims should link up with each other. From memory my husband didn’t need to do too much in terms of the claim details as it took all the info from my claim after linking them together.
They need to log on my gov and complete there own claim under all their details and then submit, they may also need to upload the paperwork you get from the hospital as proof the baby has been born. My partner done his claim before me so we didn’t have the approval ID on the letter, however it just showed up as a task I need to confirm and complete on my end.
@Keita all the same. It was so repetitive.
commenting so i can get updates about this too, my baby’s already here but i just can’t figure out how to do it for my partner
