A friend who is following more of a traditional diet with calorie counting and deprivation, has also thrown herself into CrossFit, and she is continuing to gain weight. She says she feels like if she takes a day off she sees an increase on the scales. Advice to eat less and exercise more is now said not to be helpful.
Good luck and I will be following this thread to see what other people contribute.
Omg... I thought it was just me. I exercise regularly and try to eat less but healthier than before, still I put on weight 😅
Hello 🙂 it's very common at this stage, and not necessarily just down to menopause: we tend to put on weight as we age and our metabolism slows as well. Our M-brace The Change factsheet on this subject should be useful: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NXZaAmcPll2DfK4JPJGcc6xW6o5Xyr0K/view?usp=drivesdk 🙂❤️

So we’ll never be slim again 😳🥲
Same here. Same for all of us? Dr Mary Claire Haver wrote a book called the Galveston diet, which has been recommended to me by lots of people. Lots of info online about this, but what’s repeated everywhere is eat a lot lot of protein, get enough sleep, and don’t overdo it with exercise. Weight training is emphasized over cardio.
