Some places do provide maternity benefits from day 1, I know Asda used to, but it is rare. You don’t need to tell them at interview stage as Leanne said. Good luck with finding something x
Ah that’s great I’ll start applying then 😃. Unfortunately even Maternity allowance I won’t be eligible as you have to have worked at least 26 weeks and there is not enough time to make that period up for me 🥲,but never-mind earning a bit of cash will be good for a few month.
@Sarah yeah I’m not counting on getting maternity pay 🥲. Thank you ladies 🙏🏾@Sarah @Leanne
You don’t need to tell them your pregnant especially as you won’t be eligible for their maternity pay so I wouldn’t worry although likely easier to apply when not showing so much although I think they can’t not give you a job because your pregnant as it’s discrimination
@Catherine yeah that’s true about showing . I’ll just try and get a job this month before properly showing if I don’t succeed then I’ll just have to leave it 🥲. But thank you !
Maybe try and see if there is seasonal work for Halloween or Christmas! They won’t mind I don’t think.
Yes for sure , having had a look I believe they’re now recruiting for Christmas which is perfect 😃😃
You don't need to tell them until 25 weeks pregnant. You won't be eligible for maternity pay but you will probably be able to get maternity allowance.
With my first baby (had him last Nov) I fell pregnant end of Jan had the interview May, started in June and told them end of July. It was a remote job I just had to do 1 week in the office when I started in June, and I wasn’t really showing to be honest. I had so much anxiety about telling them, but they were so nice about it. I didn’t qualify for maternity but I got statutory maternity allowance x
You can defo get a job, you don’t need to tell them until 15 weeks before your due date. So around 25 weeks. You just probs won’t get any maternity pay, but I think you can apply maternity allowance instead. Good luck xx
