Do you have sex on your period?

I couldn’t think of anything worse.

When I was younger I always had sex during my period, just put a towel down, my period was never heavy and it was pretty long. Waiting 8 days was a lot back then. Now my period is only 4 days and it’s extremely heavy 3 of those days so we just wait until it’s over. If I was in your position, I would use menstrual discs, so keep all the blood at the top, put a towel down and have some fun.

That should be something to do with your hormones, your progesterone rises too often. You have to get your hormones in balance and working properly 🙌

@Dana 🦅♥️🤍💙 yeah that's basically it, it isn't heavy it's just all the time. Like shower sex, or lay down a towel. It's so boring listening to him complain how "we can't have sex" but it's him refusing to have sex, not me.

Have you tried taking the pill? You’re not supposed to bleed for the 21 days you’re taking it, and then only if you take the 7 day break which you can choose not to

@Ella does he have a reason? Like the blood grosses him out? I would really look into menstrual discs and then there wouldn’t be any blood.

I think as annoying as it is, it’s up to him whether or not he wants another persons blood on him. That’s a boundary id find very easy to respect.

Usually from what I know of most BC it makes women have less periods or takes it away completely I’ve never heard of it increasing the length of periods but I guess there’s a first for everything and how our body responds. That’s sad to hear though, a 7 day period every 2w 😭😵‍💫 personally I don’t have period sex but that’s because I feel bloated and moody and just, not sexy (and more sensitive also, like my cervix has moved further down) but mine only lasts 3 days. A disc is a good option to have non messy sex on your period it’s like a female condom almost, that catches the flow, that’s if you’re physically up for period sex. It’s thin and pliable and he *shouldnt* be able to feel it. (In theory. I haven’t tried)

For me I didn't ever until recently. He doesn't care and I love that. It helps with the cramps having a orgasm and seems to shorten them aswell. Mine used to be over 7days long now it's 3/4 days max. I find he's more interested in me when I am on, the pheromones I guess. He knows know when I'm coming on ect as he's said he seems more animalistic when I am haha x

I've never been in a relationship with a man who wouldn't do it when I was on my period. I've always done it and liked it. For me, it helps with cramps a lot, and it actually feels better. Nowadays, I probably wouldn't do it as much just because it's harder to clean up if you have to leave sex to help your kid. I actually had a period similar to yours up until I was 20, I would've immediately broken up with a guy back then if he refused to have sex during my period.

If we are seeking a solution, menstrual discs are designed so they sit super high up against the cervix and you can have period sex with minimal contact with any blood involved

Any man iv ever been with really doesn’t care - it would be more me if it was painful etc. first few days are no go but not one single man has ever said no thanks they’ve all not cared just put towel down 😂

@Kellie when I had the bar in my arm no kidding I had my period for 3 months straight no stop nor letting up. It was the worst thing ever and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone I have never been more sick than when I was on any birth control all of them did the complete opposite of what they where supposed to.

Sex can end ur period faster. Well technically orgasm I guess

I bleed for 3 wks a month. I have a uterine fibroid. My husband never cared if I had a period. He would do it. I haven’t had sex in months though cuz I’m just not interested

@Allison I have severe endometriosis it’s one of the worst my obgyn has seen especially for my age and we tried every birth control there was to help give me some relief and none of them worked for me! I never heard anyone else go through that everyone I know birth control was amazing for them

My husband isn’t a fan of it kinda grosses him out but I tell him to suck it up so we still do 🤷‍♀️
