I told mine straight away and they were very much the same but didn't fire me, but if they do anything like that then it's unfair dismissal so you can take them to court etc so they shouldn't really do that. Hope it goes okay for you 🫶🏻
I would tell him ASAP. I hadn’t planned to tell mine so soon but had to for the same reasons. Jessica is right about them having to log pregnancy related sickness differently (have a google you’ll see). If he were to fire you after you’d declared your pregnant, he’d be at significant risk of losing an employment tribunal. If possible, I’d put it in an email so it’s in writing.
Pregnancy is a protected characteristic in employment, the quicker you say it, the better, any sickness days because of pregnancy can’t be held against you
Hi! Thanks for all the comments! I was just worried as he could fire me for it but make up a different reason if that makes sense then he could justify it and pretend it’s not because of pregnancy but maybe I’m over thinking it 😂☺️
I’d tell them sooner rather than later, they have to log pregnancy sickness separately to normal sickness and it can’t count against you, I haven’t told my manager yet but only because I’ve not managed to catch her when she’s not busy but I will be doing asap as the morning sickness is getting horrific
