I’d highly recommend the Meaningful Money podcast if you’re new to investing 😊 It really helped me! I have a stocks and shares ISA with AJ Bell. They have funds at different risk levels so you can choose the level of risk that feels right for you. My son also has a junior ISA with them. It’s recommended to only invest once you have a certain amount in savings though, so that you have a buffer for unexpected life events.
We have a vanguard stocks and shares junior isa for each of our kids. When they're older (they're 4 and 1) we'll get them some sort of current account with Go Henry (or similar) to manage pocket money and teach financial responsibility. I've been considering setting up a pension for each of them too. I obviously don't think I'd still be around but given how long the money would be sat there the compound interest could be really helpful to them when they retire. A last gift from mummy and daddy ❤️
I’ve got two accounts for my daughter. One is just a child’s saver with Lloyds as that’s who I bank with and the other is a junior stocks and shares one with Wealthify. I split her child benefit into both. Well £25 into each account each month. When I was researching Wealthify was one which was recommended.
