Shit’s getting real!

How’s everyone feeling? My original due date was 5th December but as I have gestational diabetes I’m gonna be induced at between 38-39 weeks, making her a November baby, same as her mama! It’s my birthday (40th 🤣🙈) on 22nd so we may even share the day yet. The only thing I’ve not really sorted yet is my hospital bag and the thought of that is really making shit seem real! It’s been a long journey to get here, we started trying in 2021 and have had 2 losses along the way. But our double rainbow baby is looking healthy and happy and I honestly cannot wait to meet her! Just feels super crazy that in 4 weeks time she could be here! And then the fun really starts… 🤣 any good hospital bag tips for a first time mama please ladies? So far I have dark coloured button up nighties and pads/adult nappy pant things 🤣

A long phone charger, water bottle, light nighty for when you’re in labour and the biggest comfiest PJs for after you give birth are my must haves! A friend told me to treat myself to a luxury shower gel when I had my first for my post birth shower and I’ve done the same again this time, as it’s nice to have a little luxury after birth☺️

I’m 44 and here after 7 prior losses so solidarity on a similar journey! My c section is booked for 2 weeks and 5 days time and I am in so much pain all the time I cannot wait to get her out of me, but at the same time I am terrified for when she is here! I think it still doesn’t feel real and probably won’t until she is here

My biggest recommendation is a handheld electric fan! I was sooooo hot after birth, the ward had a big fan to use but I was worried about that being on baby so this time I’ve packed my handheld one ❤️
