Shift workers

Are there any other shift working Mums in this group? I'm a shift worker working 12hr days and nights, 2 on 2off 3on 2off 2on 3 off so every other weekend off. I am looking for another role for when my daughter starts school as I feel I won't see her much. I'm just wondering what other shift Mums plans are. My husband thinks shifts aren't correct for school Mums 🙄 but I'm like how do nurses, police, paramedics manage

I am although I am part time I do 2 x 12 hour shifts a week but with travel time I am out of the house for at least 15 hours a day so don’t see my little one all day sometimes depending on what shift im doing. Deffo want to find a more 9-5 role when she starts school so I can work more and earn more!

I work full time as a paramedic and my daughter starts school next September. It’s all about the village you have to help you. It’s not easy but it is possible xxx

I'm a shift worker, my partner also works antisocial hours. Lots of people I work with have school age children honestly don't know how they make it look effortless

I'm a shift work 3 X 12.5 hour shifts but pretty much 15hour days with commute, I work set shifts Wednesday/Thursday night and either Monday or Saturday day (hopefully not many Saturdays come next September). My husband works 8-4 or whenever he gets in after nursery drop off on nursery days so we are quite lucky. We will be using breakfast and after-school club for the 2.5 days I'm not able to pick them up.

I'm sure he thinks no one else works shifts!! We have no family around to help out, and his work aren't very flexible with start time and finish times. Hopefully I will be on a day dhift before September comes around
