@Feli girl I am 2 weeks postpartum, I did tear 😩 but I did get the epidural around 8cm dilated. Omg de verdad ? I saw you speak Spanish too. So how did that happen ? I sure bet it was scary! But I’m glad everything is better now 🙏🏼❤️
3 weeks post partum, still bleeding, a few tears but all good now. Rough with 2 now, and the oldest has been ill 2 times in last 3 weeks, last time he was ill before that was lik4 months ago, so definitely not easy
3rd pregnancy, second time with no tearing, epidural but super traumatic birth. Baby was in the NICU for a week. Literally never doing this again lol I'm 17 days post partum
i am 4 weeks postpartum and i had a vaginal birth with an epidural. the doctors said i didn’t tear at the hospital but as weeks went on afterwards i noticed my pain wasn’t getting better it was getting worse, so when i went to the doctors after being in excruciating pain for weeks, the doctors told me i did tear and it was getting infected. now after a couple days of taking antibiotics i finally feel better.
@Charlie what degree tear did you have ? Awh I’m sorry :( how old is the oldest ? Also ill in what way? Like a cold, flu or ?
@Leslie awe so is this your last baby? What was so traumatic of this birth ?
@Karina I did too!! I was about 8-9 cm! I said give me the epidural now please lol. Girl idk how it happened they started pushing on my lower abdomen and I bled chunks, they told me use the bathroom they helped me, as soon as I sat down I was pouring blood, I’m like hmm is This bad, she was like yes! They weighed about 1200 in blood I was dizzy and weak, even when I got home I would sleep alot and wake up shaking, I was truly scared Mija!! Was the tear bad? I had a tear for 2 of my kids, def hurt for a while. I hope it’s gets better soon for you though because I know it’s uncomfortable.
@Karina yes he's my last baby. The doctors during my labor were rude. Told me to hold the baby in when I couldn't and put their hands up my vagina to stop him from coming out. They were also yelling at me during my labor to not push when I literally couldn't stop him from coming. When they took the baby, I was on magnesium so I couldn't see him for a whole 24 hours. Antepartum nurses also weren't nice to me and even denied me food for hours until a doctor finally came and saw me and I cried to her because I was starving.
@Karina I had a 2nd degree tear. No epidural either and I'm not very sensitive to lidocaine so had to stop 3 times while stitching me to get more lidocaine on board. With my first I had an episiotomy too, that was rough. First is 2 1/2. Right now just a fever and snotty nose, but trying to keep him from getting the newbie sick is tough.
I just had my 3rd baby on Oct 17th, I labored at the hospital for 4hrs and got a room at 5cm. Got IV meds that lasted 30 minutes then felt my water break! By that time it was too late for an epidural bc I felt ready to push and she was coming out. My first natural birth and it was traumatic, painful af and so beautiful all in one. No tears, pushed for 3 minutes and felt every bit of it!
@Yailyn omg how did they tell you that and you did tear 😭 I’m so sorry that happened to you! Did they not put stitches then ? That’s such malpractice because wth. What hospital did you deliver at ?
@Feli we waited with some pain for a good bit, I got it because I wanted to nap before having baby since I had not slept way earlier before birth because of insomnia and then the day before bad contractions all night at home and did not sleep anything, I wanted to go unmedicated 😭. OMG that is scary because I was bleeding and with clots and I would call them to ask them if what was on the toilet/pad was normal since it was a lot. I would have been so scared too mija. Did they keep you longer in the hospital because of that ? And how long did it last you. Mines was a 3rd degree tear. I was hurting the day of at the hospital and a little the next day I was like I don’t need pain meds. I was walking and moving fine just then felt sore but not pain like that. I healed pretty fast Gracias a Dios I’m just bleeding a little still. Y tu ?
@Leslie omg what in the world 😳 I am so sorry that all happened to you. That is terrible and awful. I don’t understand why they work in such floor or career if they are going to be rude. Then how in the heck will they tell you not to push when literally you are READY. I would be so mad and cussing them tf out😭😭😭. Don’t tell me what to do, that is crazy. That’s also sad you could not see baby for whole 24 hours. Why were you on magnesium for ? Did you get to eat after that doctor finally went in or you still couldn’t ?
@Charlie how was it with out an epidural? That’s how I wanted it to go but I was sooooo tired I wanted to actually sleep a little bit because I was nauseous from no sleep and no food for long long hours. You have had it rough ☹️ do you want more kids or you are done? And poor baby, I sure bet it is hard to keep him feeling better and then not getting the baby sick. How did he get sick, do you know?

@Gabrielle wow girl, you are so strong! You did that! Atleast the good part was you only pushed for three minutes. How was the feeling of being unmedicated? Were you planning to get the epidural? Would you do it again without it ?
@Karina it was too late to get stitches put in so i had to just deal with the pain for a few. and this was at Mary Immaculate in Newport News VA!
@Karina I developed preeclampsia and was at risk for seizures so they put me on magnesium to orevent them. They didn't tell me it would also effect my son and he came out also full.of magnesium and had a lot issues breathing. He ended up being on a cpap for 4 days until all the magnesium was out of his system and he ciuld regulate his breathing. I've been riddled with guilt this whole time. They did finally allow me to eat after the doctor spoke to me and yelled at the nurses in charge of my care. The NICU people were amazing but the antepartum and labor and delivery team were horrible. The nurses in the mother baby unit were nice also but im literally traumatized from it. I cannot see myself ever doing this again. 3 is eenough for me
@Yailyn oh wow, im 3 hours away from that hospital I’m in VA as well.
@Leslie that is insane and that your baby was full of magnesium as well :( that must have been very stressful. Do you always deliver with that hospital ? And is this the only bad experience you’ve had with this third baby ?
@Karina all my babies were born there but this was the worst experience I've ever had there. It was really disappointing.
@Leslie absolutely it wasn’t to me that it happened to but I’m even upset. Like you literally went through so much and a hard time.
@Karina I made a complaint to patient services and they said someone would call me as a follow up about it but haven't heard anything yet. We'll see what happens. Idk it's like once the hospital merged and became a different practice, they went to shit. My last 2 births were hard but I was not treated at all the way I was treated this time. Even my OB team this time sucked. Just all around horrible.
@Leslie good, I am glad you called to complain. Hopefully they do call you back and act on the situation that happened. They need to get their staff to be better and nice or they need a whole new set of staff. But like you said we’ll see if they actually call or do anything. How long has it been since you called them ? Is your OB practice connected to them ?
@Karina it's been a week so I'll probably have to call them again. They are linked to my OB practice. And since my past experiences were fine I thought this time would be the same. I don't even know the name of the doctor who actually delivered my baby because the doctor that was there was not even the OB i saw throughout my pregnancy. It's a whole mess.
@Leslie so that Dr. was the Dr. on call that delivered your baby ? Yeah you might have to call them again since it’s been a week already. Sometimes you gotta be on their asses for real!
Currently 3 weeks postpartum 🙃
@Isabel how is it going girl ?
@Karina thankfully not as bad as when I had my first child. I think I’ve been so busy trying to take care of my 2 yr old and newborn at the same time. Although there are days where I’m just overwhelmed, but I’ve been learning to control outbursts of anger or trying not to think about the negative feelings/thought.
Girl we can write books! Whats your story? I’ll be 2 weeks postpartum,no tear, vaginal with Epidural, feeling much better, but had postpartum hemorrhage, which was scary as shit, but here we are blessed and pushing through.
