Have you considered being a childminder if your home is suitable? I’m not sure what qualifications you would need but I’m sure having your own child at home won’t be a problem.
If it is any consolation, my LB started nursery last month when he was 8.5 months and he loves it and developmentaly i have seen such a positive change in him since starting. Albeit i found the first few weeks traumatic sending him and getting used to other people looking after him x
Can you claim universal credit?
@Samantha i have but its not enough to get by :(
Many work from home jobs won’t allow you to also be caring for your child at the same time, so you’d need childcare anyway, just something to bear in mind. Would you be entitled to any/enough benefits to not return to work initially, until your baby is a bit older? But also the flip side, whilst they are still young, there are lots of benefits to going to nursery too and many babies love it!
