Overdoing it

36 weeks and I have seriously over done it the past few days. I’ve been out and about walking, at Disney on ice and tonight walked to my local fireworks and stood around and walked back and my back is in bits and my tummy feels really sore. I’m now in the bath trying to relax and will slow down now with gentle short walks but is there any dangers to over doing it?

I wasn’t 36 weeks I was about 34 but I went away for the weekend and did the same! I did way too much, pushed my body too far with walking and paid for it big time. I spent the next couple of days just relaxing and I quickly got better. I didn’t see any negative effects but I was also worried so all I’d say is rest up for a few days until you feel 100% again x

No dangers other than having a painful under bump / back from carrying the weight. The more relaxed you are the more oxytocin is released to bring on labour. Best to start taking it easier now. Easier said than done if you’re quite an active person!

@Lisa thank you, I feel a bit better today after a chilled night and morning! Deffo easier said than done when you have a 3 year old keeping you busy 🤣
