Pregnancy with a toddler

Is anyone else in this group pregnant? How are you finding it this time round with a toddler? I don’t know about anyone else but at the moment I’m finding it really bloody hard work 🥵😅🆘

just had my baby at the beginning of last month. pregnancy with a toddler was SO hard. just know that newborn and toddler is sooo much easier! i struggled so much with guilt as well through my pregnancy because we didn't do nearly as much stuff as i would've liked to because i was so sick and exhausted, but everything gets easier when baby arrives xx

Had my second in August. It’s seriously tough being pregnant with a toddler. Toddlers in themselves are tough 😂 I think when the baby arrives you feel a bit more normal ☺️ tiring in a different way then x

Yes I have a 2 year old and 22 weeks pregnant. Finding it tough with all the carrying, she’s become more needy wanting to be picked up a lot and I’m starting to feel it 😅 glad to hear it gets easier with a newborn, hate feeling exhausted and heavy while parenting!x

@Kimberley just saw we’re in exactly the same position!

I have a toddler and pregnant with twins. It's so uncomfortable:(

Yep! Baby is due end of Jan. 😅 also feel guilty as my LG wants to be carried all the time and I can’t always do it or other things

@keisha this is so good to hear!!

@keisha Thankyou for saying all of that. It definitely makes me feel a bit better. I keep saying I want to make sure we are in more of a routine so the baby slots in but it’s easier said than done isn’t it 🥵

@Terri yep toddlers are such hard work. Not all the time but I feel lately he’s turned it up a notch or two 😂

@Samantha yes we are at the same stage ☺️ what date are you due? That’s such a relief to hear as ours is the same, just want to be carried loads. I feel like he’s maybe going through some separation anxiety too. He was poorly with D&V a couple of weeks ago & has been like it after that. I think we are feeling it more as we have just moved house too 🙈 I’ve not heard it gets easier yet so that’s really reassuring to hear 🤩

Yes I had my second baby in April and my pregnancy was the hardest with a toddler I mourned my first pregnancy when I could relax when I needed to lol... Xx

@Jennifer oh wow, congratulations with twins even though I bet that’s a lot harder for you right now 🙈

@Jess it’s so hard not to feel guilty isn’t it.

@Kimberley i was the same. my toddler goes to bed sooo late and i was desperately trying to sort her routine out before baby arrived. i didn't manage it but honestly it hasn't mattered at all, and everything feels so much more manageable now i'm not constantly uncomfortable in pregnancy!

@Jess good! i feel like i always struggled to imagine how it would be easier with a newborn and a mad toddler to deal with but it just somehow really is😅

@keisha I’m glad it’s worked out for you & it’s going well. I want to start going swimming each week but something just ends up cropping up.

My boy is nearly 5 months, god I missed being able to just nap when I was tired and pregnant. Only advice I’d say is if your child is particularly clingy to you, as my toddler was/is, start making dad spend lots of time with them as mine could not cope well with not having me all to herself, especially in 2 weeeks post c-section as she was a real mummy girl x

I have a 26 month old boy and am 21 weeks pregnant with our girl. I found the first trimester so hard and have got some energy back now. But also still get out of breath and struggle on my own with him and carrying him etc. feel like my body went straight into uncomfortable pregnancy mode this time round 😂 maybe because we are carrying a toddler everywhere too 🤪 x

i'm so so tired :( finding it hard! and i'm only 14 weeks in 🙈

@Kathryn Howard yes it’s so hard not being able to relax isn’t it. When his dad is home from work they mostly spend the time together & when he’s with his dad it’s like he doesn’t want to know me at times 😅 My partner is very hands on which is good but we’ve just moved house so my partner has been doing everything & I think our little one has been confused with why he can’t have his attention all the time 🙈

@Christie it’s very hard work isn’t it. I definitely feel you on that one, if we go out for a walk in the day without his pram whilst my partner is at work & he wants carrying I can hardly carry him far at all 🙈

@Alison it’s such hard work isn’t it. I think the tiredness is another level this time round 🥵

It’s not too bad, I thought it would be much harder

I had my second in August so a 23 month gap, pregnancy was exhausting with a not even 2 year old. It’s SO much easier parenting both than being pregnant!

I’ve got an almost 6 month old and once bubs is here and you get in a good routine it’s so much easier than being pregnant!! My pregnancy with my second dragged on, but now it feels like a distant memory

@Ebony it’s good to hear alot of you have got into a good routine & found it easier. Thankyou ☺️

We found out I was pregnant the week my husband got deployed. So I've been on my own for the past 10 weeks with a toddler and being so nauseous and tired whilst working full time in a nursery 😅 My little boy now has chicken pox so I'm dealing with a poorly toddler at the moment, counting down the days he's home to lighten the load and to finally go to a scan so he can see Baby number 2 💙🩷

@Kimberley honestly so is, i feel bad for saying i want to speed the pregnancy up lol

@Amy Aww no, that sounds really tough on you 🥵 I couldn’t imagine doing it all on my own & the evenings too. I hope he’s better soon. That’ll be amazing. I hope it all goes well for you 🥰

@Alison bless you 🙈 they defo love to throw curveballs our way.
