My friend reduced her son's nursery hours to two days a week but has told them she will need the third day back when she returns to work. She has signed him up for two half days at local preschool instead of the third day at nursery because it's so much cheaper x
Currently on May leave with my second. We cut down from 2 days to 1& a half. So we didn’t have to pay as much. We now pay £200 a month rather than £400 for 2 full days with funding as she goes all year round. My second starts at the end of April when I go back and they are both going to 2 days a week. I put all the requests in at once and asked them in person too to make sure she wouldn’t lose her place x
Currently on mat leave with 2nd and reduced it to three days a week 9-3pm term time only and now pay £121 a month as the funding covers most of ours xx
My daughter does 3 days atm, she’ll be 3 a month after I’m due with no 2, so I’d start to get the 30 hours in September but my nursery has a minimum of 3 days 🤦🏼♀️. I’m going to ask them if I can reduce her to 2 and see what they say or I’ll have to pull her out completely & she loves it ! I wouldn’t bother trying a new one either
Yes I cut all of the full days down to just afternoons so my 2 year old does 4 afternoons a week to save money. He's booked to increase his hours again in May when my second baby will also be starting nursery, I arranged it all at the same time to make sure they had space for him to increase his hours again after my mat leave :)
