Working from home!?.

Basically, I really don’t want to go back to work! I am potentially going back to 3 days a week in March! And my little boy is going to nursery, but I can’t think of anything worse. I never knew I would enjoy being off with him so much and I’m trying to think of everything to make my time off with him longer. Does anyone have any ideas of jobs that I could do online? If anyone works from home, what do you do?

I work from home 80% of the time and I work for a university library doing data input, proof reading and helping students with copyright information. Check out the work from home hub on Facebook. Really good jobs on there. X

@Laura amazing thank you is it a group?

It's a page you can follow. She posts remote jobs pretty much daily.

Yep 😊

@Laura thank you so much

@Laura will you have your baby at home with you ? If you don’t mind me asking

Sometimes. My MIL will take her 2 afternoons a week. I've managed to change my hours so I do 12 - 9 everyday. I'm lucky that my work is very understanding and flexible. As long as the work is done, there's no problem. I'm a bit worried how I'll manage working with baby at home with me but I can always catch up in the evening if need be.

@Laura 12-9 wow that’s late! Yeah that’s so good

One thing I would say if you’re considering working from home is that it’s much more difficult when they’re moving, talking etc. There’s no way I can work with my toddler around, he’s an absolute whirlwind!

Piece of advice from someone who has WFH with a baby/toddler before: it’s not the dream you think. It’s really hard. I ended up being crappy at my job and crappy to my baby. I couldn’t concentrate in doing my job because the baby was demanding attention, and I couldn’t focus on the baby because my work was outstanding.
